Merry Christmas,

Santa made an early drop off for me. I wanted the Go Rhino nerf steps but for some reason they are on national back order since mid November so I got a set of MAAP (Steel Horse) stainless nerf steps. The installation went ok after I modified one mounting bracket hole. The kit is for a 2003 quad 1500 but after enlarging one hole on the bracket it mounted up sweet as could be. Here are the pics.

Awsom look, I plan on getting nerf bars next month. Are the Mapp's chrome over stainless? Also, Do they attach to the body supports only or did you have to drill into the body?

Greetings,

First thank you:D . Next they are polished stainless. No chrome:cool: They attach to the frame through some very heavy duty frame mount bolts and brackets. No drilling of the truck but 1 hole on each of the rear mounts needed to be elongated so the bolts would fit properly into the holes already in the truck frame. If you crawl under your truck you will see a series of rubber plugs on the body structure of the truck..... 3 of these provide you a securing point for the mounts. the other 2 are on the frame super structure above these holes. Very solid construction and I am very pleased with them so far. :)

Greetings,

$375. 00 at the local hot rod shop. Most local shops (small 1-2 man operations) will meet advertized pricing from the net or truck mags. I actually made out better because his price was $20. 00 lower than mail order with shipping:cool: . Any "speed" shop usually deals in truck toys as well as high performance car toys. Enjoy. Jeff
