Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mach 1.6's enough for Phat Shaft 62?

well i am about 99. 8% sure i am getting the PS 62. I am still at a stand still over the injectors i want. Will the 1. 6's spool the turbo quick enough to be fun to drive - too much lag? Or should i skip to the Mach 4's? I don't tow or sled pull. I do want my truck to run in the 13-14 second range down the quarter - is it possible with the 1. 6's without tapping the pump wire? I guess i narrowed it down to the 1. 6's or 4's.



Am i gonna be happy with the burger (1. 6's) or do i need the prime rib (4's)

If your not going to tap the wire go with mach 4s. I love my edge drag 1. 6s and HTT 62/12cm good for a 8. 41 @81mph in the 1/8 mile.

If you aren't towing... get the M4's. The 62 compressors are fun with a set of 150 sticks, but Egt's can get high @wot. It is very controllable, but if I were going to get a turbo for the fun factor... . I'd go super & don't look back. If you are looking for fast quarter mile times... the super is definately gonna get that 4 ton truck rollin alot faster. Just my $. 02. Good Luck.

anyone running 100 hp injectors with a PS 62 or comparable turbo?



Hows it run? Is there enough fuel to have make the turbo enjoyable? Or do you wish you had bigger sticks?
