Don M makes injectors to order... if you talk to an F1 dealer they should be able to get you what ever # you want (within reason that is).

Depends on the driver!!

I could/would do it, but you MUST respect the fact that you are severely overfueled and can destroy your engine if you are not attentive.

Uh, you guys are scaring me. When you say 'run out of fuel' and 'VP-44' in the same sentence, I get the creeps! :{

You guys mean run out of fuel in the plunger ONLY, right?

Does the famous fueling box 'double tap' (additional fuel pulse after the ECM fuel injection event) compound this 'run out of fuel' thing?

The VP needs it's fuel!!! :(

so let me see here, on a HO motor, if one was to add a hot rod vp for a SO engine and bigger injectors the compression would make a monster motor ???? can a SO pump be used on a HO motor? just some questions i had

Are the 4's ok for towing with a stock turbo?

From Don on another site about this same subject :

- The stock automatic turbo is too small, IMO to use a Mach 4 and tow.

- Using an upgraded turbo like the Dodgezilla would be good though.

- The Dodgezilla is an inexpensive turbo and works great. Good value.

I will be towing in a couple of weeks with m4's catcher and dodgezilla. I will post towing temps after the trip.

right now 1100f is the top of the range dyno or fotfb :-laf

NO! The ECM from an HO will not comunicate with the SO VP.

I'm running a set of Mach 1. 5's (the ones with the new spray angle) If I were to swap them out for some of the new Mach 4's, what could I expect pro & con. Would they make my cc surge? Would I ever feel the need to turn on the APB? Will my check book survive the BOMBing bug? :rolleyes:

Darkhorse,

1. yes :rolleyes:

2. eventually :-laf

3. NO :{

I just upgraded from RV 275 to Mach 1. 6. Frankly, I wasn't too excited about the power increase. Thanks to my refined sensitivity, I can definitely discern more power everywhere in the RPM range. There is more smoke too, which is one of my critical concerns. For that reason alone, I'm glad I didn't go to bigger injectors. Granted, it's been extremely hot here in LV, like in the hundred and teens every day, and that contributes to smoke production. I'll be towing my trailer up to the mountains this weekend, probably grossing 17K. I'm curious to see if I can tell the difference there too. I just swapped in a 60 lb boost gauge this morning, it was getting too easy to peg the 30-pounder!

Cheers,

Neil

I was pegging my 30 psi gauge. Remember not to exceed 35 psi with a HX35. I swapped to a DZ 14 & it shoots to it's 38 psi wastegated limit. I just did something this afternoon I almost never do. WOT in 4th up a hill. :eek: & I had the box turned off. I'm definatly leaving a trail of gray haze & incidentally my MAD ECM fuels out to 3500 rpm

Bob,

Did you post this some where else? Still waiting... :)

Mach 4. 5 after that no more power from the HO

This was only true if there is a fueling box present. Otherwise I thought M6, would still produce a big difference in power over the 4. 5's for those not wanting to pierce the wire. :confused:

According to Don M. , the Mach 4. 5's use all the fuel the HO version of the VP 44 has available.
