i guess once i put those in i should be expecting to change my clutch too . . and i i guess i can keep egt's down by defueling the box ?

M4s are GTG! sure I need a turbo but the HO motor loves these sticks. I have been driving with basically just the Mach4s for about 18 months now and these sticks burn very clean and mileage is up from the stock sticks.

my 2 cents

When I upgraded from some 1. 5 to the bigger sticks, Don offered an unusual undersized set of M4's he decided to call M 3. 8's I ran them with a Dodgezilla & they were no more smoky than the older 1. 5's. I'd also recommend going with the 4's.

M4's + box = smoked stock clutch

You might do the clutch first.

Yeah, be careful with the box and show some restraint with the right foot in the wrong circumstances.

FWIW I disregarded allot of advice and went conservative with the M1's and I ended up selling them.

4's are definately the best way to go. I too was thinking about 1. 6's and went for the 4's. I had don make me a custom set of towing 4's and have yet to run into heat issues. You can see what I'm running in my sig. I tow a lawn trailer daily about 4-5k and run smarty on 2 and comp on 2x3. With these settings I only see about 1100 climbing hills. I also have 4:10's so maybe that helps a bit. Good luck with your decision:)

Mach 4"s here too, they are better than my old 1. 5"s i ran and i tow with them as well,i just turn the SMARTY down to #3 when pulling the 11k-fiver----Of course i running some better air with my B1-2/Cooltwist intercooler and other mods in sig----Hope this helps-----PS more air on the way with the BD twins/studs.
