Yeah, It looks all cleared up now.

Now we can concentrate on figuring out Where this Marco Guy is :D

And how he has Hijacked the UPS to try and make it look like the chips are going to Italy

Like Darkhorse, Marco also sent me a $100 Euro note to reimburse me for my shipping cost directly to ITALY. Very generous of him. My shipping was $92 from Oregon to Italy. Exchange rate today is $100 Euro to $120. 658 USD. Thank you Marco!

Yeah, I would have to say the ECM's are going to Italy.

Roger

Just trying to get things into the correct perspective.

In the "other" thread Murle has said:

----------------------------------------

My have found out why I have gotten 2 bad ECM's from Marco.

Had my truck checked with the handy dandy little scanner. I have a early 2001 1 ton cab chassie. Truck was made 6-29-00. Even though it is a 2001 it shows to have a 2000 ECM in it. This may be what was the problem with the ECM's Marco sent me... . Time will tell.

-------------------------------------------

Looks like Murle is man enough to admit his faults. Even if we can't speek about a fault here. His truck SHOULD be an early build 2001...

Murle, now we KNOW what's wrong. You've got the wrong software in your ECM. Keep in mind it's not your fault, it's not mine. You told me that your truck is an early build 2001. That's what you got in your ECM.

Instead it's an MY 2000... .

Nothing to get mad or pixxed about... ... It's just that **** happens...

You know Murphys law? :{

Altough it's not my fault, here is my offer.

Send the ECM directly to me. I'll refund you the shipping and will do everything else for free.

Looks like sometimes it's not as simple as it should be to know what year these trucks have been build... .

Marco

P. S. I'm almost sure Steve has simply tried to keep this thread a civil and nice place. I have no problem if somebody does not like my product. That's simply the way it is. Some will like it, some not. What's wrong with it?

Marco, if the Catcher ECM Poleece see you posting here you will get in big trouble. They are real funny about where people post and what they say. All Post must be approved by the Catcher ECM Poleece before being posted!

That being said and in the interest of helping Murle. I ordered my 2001 in december 99 and it was built in feb 2000. I'v never pulled the ECM but it sure dyboed at the new HP rating putting down 230 HP bone stock. I have to beleive it is a 2001 ETH

Marco, Never been pixxed off or upset, just ask Doug. It is just one of those things that happen. Doug has my ECM. It is possible that it is already on the way to you. I have not touched base with Doug lately. My truck was bought new and I guess in was in one of those transition change over from 2000 to 2001. DC was most likely cleaning up the parts and mine got the 2000 ECM.

Glad it was me it happen to than some axx hole. We are all in a learning curve here and it is good to know that there will be some trucks that are in the year end change that could and most likley have the wrong year ECM in them. Thanks for your offer, but I pay for my own mistakes if there has been one.

Is your truck an auto? If not then have you ever dynoed it. My truck was built befor yours but it is a six speed and I am pretty sure its a real 2001

Stick 5 speed. Never dynoed. mine built 6/29/00 Gave Maro the numbers that the scanner gave out and it show to be a 2000. 5. First I have ever head of a 2000. 5

Never heard of that either, You have a Hy turbo or an HX? You may have the rarest truck in the country.....

It might be worth millions :D

The description for Murle's truck is:

2001 (2000. 5) BR / BE 5. 9L MAN FED Cummins.

Never seen one before too...

Sure enough now we have another 2001 version to deal with...

That makes now a total of 18 softwares for the MY 2001 trucks.

AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Marco

That is what you get for going on such a long vacation Marco. :D :D

Heck let's round it off to a even 20 programs. Come on guys let's find a couple more for good old Marco. :-laf :-laf

This would be a good time for me to be a billionaire, I could get marco to start sending out packs of twinkies instead of ecm's and get to watch the catcher ECM Pollece blast the people who complained.

It would be hilarious, wonder how long hte Catcher ECM Poleece could hang on??????????

Maybe mine is a 2001. 25, specifically designed to frustrate ECM hackers  but then, with all the torque the MAD CaTCHER is making with my truck, I don't miss cruise control a whole lot. :D

I can't give you exact numbers. The truck has never been near a dyno. I can say that it takes very little right foot pressure to break the rear end loose on crushed rock roads even in 6th at 50 mph.

I wonder if the ECM Poleece will allow dyno numbers to be released if and when they ARE AVAILABLE. Of course they probably will make them released only in their massive private thread where only they can read them

Ponder, what does that mean? What am I missing here? I trust u r just kidding. Dyno numbers don't mean everything. There is no conspiracy here. We, including Marco are laying all out on the line. As Marco stated, his Mad ECM is either for you or it's not. Your choice. You wanna race, cmon down to the Pacific NW. Whatcha got? Are your under 13 in the 1/4? Ifn u r, then you are hot.

jponder

Just curious as to what dyno numbers would entice you to drop your dime?

I wouldn't care if mine dynoed 5hp and 5 tq. , I absolutely wouldn't give it up.

Someone will dyno, but for the very few out here with this ecm, the attitude may be why bother spending ~$100 to tell someone else this thing hauls ass.

private threads?

What's this about private threads? I know of a massive public thread that any one with the time & energy can read. Like RCone said, dyno numbers don't mean everything. I don't need some expensive machine to tell me the MAD CaTCHER comes on quicker than my EZ did.
