Actually the ECM controls the entire fuel injection system, from the timing to the fueling curve. . etc.



I personally don't know the limitations of the ECM, but by increasing the timing and fueling curve at the ECM, does drastically increase power.



I do know that the ECM's are still being tested and perfected.

This does work

Mark, at TST used to do this reprogramming of the ECM. He did this back in 1999 until Cummins put a stop to it, he was using their proprietary software to do it and they squeezed him to stop. The ECM reprogramming was still limited to the same 65HP/185TQ as the present VA, EZ, etc. As I understand it the limiting factor isn't the ECM, it's the chip inside the pump that is the deciding factor of max fueling. I don't see the Mad ECM producing any more HP than those other items, but I've been wrong before and will be again.

I hope this thread gets some good input, like features, benefits, stealth capabilities. As I remembered, the MAD ECM could have 4 different sets of codes from stock to max. And a reflash from Dodge would only effect the stock setting. Anyway, I gave up waiting for the MAD ECM and got the Edge COMP last October. I really like it but generally run on 2/0. Setting 5/5 is for showing off, but I don't get much a chance for that - really smokes! Still interested in the MAD ECM, I wish Marco success!!! Alot of success, I know he has worked very hard on this baby. Lets hear some details!
