My TST makes way more power on 6X6 than 4X4. I can get 15 ft or more of rubber in third gear and the seat of the pants meter sends you into uncontrollable girly giggle. Oh sure, it's a little embarrassing but fun never the less.
Yep. I posted a thread a while ago here and had similar results. The problem is not enough air to keep up with the amount of fuel. With the mixture overly rich, power is decreased because the extra unburned fuel is extinguishing some of the burn. I'll bet you were blowing out progressively more black smoke on those lower-powered runs.
My best power came on setting 5/5. With your Stage 3's, I'm not surprised to see your best on a lower setting.
Bottom line - we need bigger turbos (or more of 'em)
53 psi boost! Isn't that near the limit (or over?) on the stock headgasket? I always back off the throttle around 40 ish since I have no faith in my stock turbo to handle it but I thought the headgasket was near its limit around there too. How far off am I?
I would think that with injectors, your reaching a limit of efficiency at a lower setting, than guys running without injectors.
Yes, it's quite interesting to see that boost gauge hit 50+ in a heartbeat. 540HP is what I would expect. I know it felt that strong driving with the TST, injectors and turbo.
The power comes on fast and hard, and top end power is unlike any other setup.
