Well, the old '98 is gone and the new '08 is in the driveway. So far I'm very pleased. Opted for the 6 speed auto (80 mph at 2000 rpm, wow!) First tank of fuel was 15 mpg (calculated) 16 mpg (computer). That was an even mix hwy and stop and go driving. Can't wait to load it down.

I hope you enjoy the truck as much as I do. With 21K on the clock only a few issues (mainly updates) it has been trouble free. I have seen as high as 20 mpg (hand calc) empty and 10 to 15 towing 11K in the Rockies. The Exhaust brake has been flawless.

I had the dealer enable the high idle feature for cleaner warm ups, it works. Enjoy.

For a successful truck with the DPF, work it hard and keep the EB on all the time and you will enjoy the power of the Common Rail CTD. I love both of my Common Rail trucks. Good luck and happy towing.

I got it at Freedom Dodge in Lex. They still had about 14 '08 Trucks on the lot. I prefer to use the smaller home town lot, but this is the truck I wanted.

1st service turbo sooted up and egr plugged up installed turbo cleaning port and cleaned turbo



use the brake all the time mostly interstate driving during first 15,000 miles



needed 5 ecm updates have intalled magnaflow dual right side exit 4 " exhaust and removed muffler



likes and runs better loaded than empty hit 21 mpg once wow
