SOLD: Mag Hytec 727D Transmission Pan
SOLD SOLD SOLD
Gents,
I have for sale a Mag Hytec 727D Transmission Pan. This is the "single deep" rather than the "double-deep" (727DD) model. It will fit all of the 727 transmissions from the late 60's all the way up through the 48RE - not including the 68RFE. I have one on my 2004 Dodge Ram Cummins truck and I like it, so I bought one for my newly built 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. Strangely (you're gonna laugh), the truck makes it out of the driveway with no problems, but the Roadrunner - which is like 6 inches off the ground - rubs with this pan on it, as evidenced by the pictures. Go Figure!
Roadrunner - Dragus Transmissionpanius
Transmission Pan (After quick escape from Coyote)

Picture of the good clean mating surface
Other than one trip up the driveway, and another one back down, the pan has no miles on it - not that it's exactly a wear item, except in my case. It comes from Mag Hytec for $255.00 with a gasket and a filter. I used those up by installing them for my 5 minutes of run time in and out of the driveway, so you'll need to get you own. I DO have the nice allen head bolt and washers that came with the pan. I figure it's gotta be worth say $125.00 despite the scuffs. The scuffs are literally skin-deep as the pan itself is nearly 3/16 thick. This pan has the advantage of holding a significant amount of extra fluid, being made of aluminum to cool more efficiently, and having a built in bung to install a temperature sender, which the stock pan does not.
Get yourself a new gasket for aluminum to aluminum (trans to pan) and you're good to go for half the price of a new one...
PM me
Greg
