Mag-Hytec double-deep pan clearance??

Anyone running a double-deep MHT pan on a 2wd 1st gen?



I've heard rumors the double-deep MHT pans have a 'clearance issue' on some models of 1st gen's that the reg MHT deep pan's don't. Don't know if it's a 4x4 thing, 2wd thing, or what. Anyone have the gouge on these pans?



I have a DTT converter on the way, and the MHT pan is right behind it, but I need to know what will/won't fit.

I have one and it fit's fine, but does hang below the frame a good amount. I have had it over a year and no problems.

Ditto on the deep pan. No problems with clearance and an extra 4 quarts of ATF.

Cool, thanks fellas. Ordered today. With the low miles on the new rig I want to prolong the life expectancy of the 518 right away. It feels great right now, box stock. Shifts good, though I can definitely 'feel' the slushy torque converter, so a DTT towing converter is also on its way. Between the converter and the pan it will be about as good as I can make it.
