I have heard lots of problems with these fitting. But will one fit a 2005 dodge ram without a lift. Just worried about clearance problems. Thanks

Had trouble fitting one on my 04. The Trac bar was real close. Called Mag-Hytec and they had me send it back. They ground a little off the cover and repainted it. They said, as we all know, every truck is a little different. There is plenty of material on the cover so they can remove some without any problem. Might want to call them.

Installed both front and rear diff. covers on my 06 recently with no clearance problems. After seeing the quality of material and workmanship of these products I put on one of their double deep transmission pans also. The covers were put on before I put the Carli suspension on with no problems before or after. Top notch machine work on their parts I must say.

My front cover rubbed a little but not any more. The track bar and the cover on some might rub. Mine did and I ground off just a little to provide clearance but did not paint the front cover yet. I am waiting on warmer weather before painting.

My son wanted me to put on a 2" lift he said it would clear then, but my DW has said I spent enough on the truck.

Good luck with yours.

Mine fit with no problem..... until I had to take the truck in for the steering update. Seems that the new steering components tended to hit the differential cover. Had to take the factory one to them.

Its going back on soon... . just going to have to do some trimming...

My MagHytek fits fine, has plenty of clearance, never hit, no problems. I have considered doing the steering upgrades, but since I have had no steering issues and no death wobble problems, I have no plans to change anything.

have covers on both front and back. work great until got hit in side and they update the front steering with the new parts. the u bolt on the steering stabilizer got into the cover. had to take back to them and they got a new cover and removed one u bolt and spot welded the bracket. have not had trouble out of it. if had know was going to spot weld would of had oem cover put back on.
