Best Caption Contest (Ends: April 30, 2011)

Another "Best Caption" Contest . . . (Ends August 1, 2011)

Dang! I can only count the mileage on one truck. If'n I could count all 4 currently owned trucks I would be over 2 million miles! So, I will go with "Black Sheep" my 2001 3500 6 speed.

1. This post = 5 pts
2. Mileage = 160 pts
3. Age = 10 pts
4. Posts = 32

Total points as of 11. 1. 10 = 207.

Appears to not be enough to beat GAmes, but I'm not making a concession speech yet... lol!

Godspeed,
Trent

Winner Will Be Posted by November 8, 2010

This turned out harder than anticipated.

I am out of town at an automotive and truck show most of this week and will not be in a position to verify the points until I return home at the end of the week.

So, I will post the winner on November 8, 2010.

Thank you to everyone who participated.

Update

Yes, I was at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, and what happened in Vegas, will remain in Vegas :-laf:-laf:-laf

I just completed the 843 emails that came in while I was in Vegas, so I have not yet had time to verify the results so, I need another day.

Sorry, but it may be Tuesday evening before winner is confirmed.

Thank you for understanding.

That's quite alright! Its amazing to even have these free giveaways, so take all the time you need.

How was SEMA?

And the WINNERS ARE ...

Because of the value of this first-place prize, I am posting my numbers as "preliminary results. " HOWEVER, anyone who participate has 24 hours to post any errors or omissions they find that I have missed. So below are the winners as I calculate them. These winners will be confirmed in 24 hours if no one posts any corrections to my calculations.

So, in no particular order (yeah, right):

* 1st Place - highest point value - free Mag Hytec Transmission Pan *AND* Differential Cover. (Note: If you already have Mag Hytec pans, you can trade this credit in at Geno's Garage) - AH64ID - with 255 points!

* 2nd Place - Second highest point value - free filter kit from Geno's Garage - GAmes - with 229 points!

* 3rd Place - Free renewal to the Turbo Diesl Register - blacksheepdiesel - with 207 points!

NOTE: If I could identify the mileage (from a photograph), the model year (from either the post or the signature) and the post count, I provided credit.

As promised, I put EVERYONE who posted on this thread's name into a fishbowl (it was actually a baggie), and asked the Geno's Garage part-time warehouse person - Zack - to randomly draw a winner. He is expecting some sort of tip (wink)!

So the winner of the truly random drawing for either a Mag-Hytec Transmission Pan *OR* Mag-Hytec Differential Cover is . . . GCroyle.

And the crowed cheered.

Prizes will be confirmed at 5:00 p. m. on November 10, 2010 after all participants have had a chance to verify my findings.

Congratulations all, and THANK YOU!

Zack is DA MAN at Geno's, and I bet this will raise an eyebrow or two due to a certain TDR member's early suggestion about splitting the kitty.

It is great to be random!

TDR and Geno's a big thanks, now I finally get to dress up my rear end! Pun intended.

And the three tops posters have made good contributions to the TDR info-family, tip of the Cummins hat to AH64ID, GAmes and blacksheepdiesel.

THANK YOU!

What a great opportunity, so many thanks to TDR and Geno's!

It will be nice to get some great parts on the truck and be able to tell people how I got them.

Wow, two top winners are both AH-64 pilots:cool: So exactly what is a filter kit? And BTW, thanks!

Robin,

Thanks so much for the contest and the opportunity to be a part of it. The free renewal to TDR is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

While there were 4 winners of prizes, all TDR members are the winners because of the information from the many posts added.

Godspeed,
Trent

Your right, I didn't even notice the coincidence... or was it :)

Nice!! I have a picture of an A model sort of in formation with an F-16 (Apache was maxed out, F-16 near stall:-laf) Two guys from my platoon are in the Apache, I'm in the back seat of the F-16Oo.

If you trained at Ft. Hood you might recognize the western side of post.
