will both fit?? Considering the pan for added capacity benefits (I tow 20k a yr easy) but intend to put a 315 spare up there in the next week or so.

If it works I'd be surprised. I had to use a ratchet strap to pull my stock spare back enough to keep a good clearance. I have 315s and would love to have a full size spare.

when i had my 315 spare under the truck [it now lives in the bed] it would just clear the stock diff cover. it looked like if the suspension would have bottomed out in the rear, it would hit my spare, so i don't think a 315 spare with the mag hytek cover would fit [especially loaded rear suspension] but i may be wrong.

Mag Hytec Diff cover

I bought the Mag-hytec Diff cover and have a standrad spare. Are you guys saying that the diff cover will clear with the spare? I have to say that it looks very close. I was almost thinking not to putting in on!

I have the Mag and a standard spare.

Since on fellow chimed in that he has done the 315 and Mag... then I assume the way he did it is to pull the tire towards the rear as you crank it into position. It won't be sitting in it's cradle but it will hold.

New Cover Comming Out.

Not to sidetrack the thread, but Off Road Unlimited has a new cover coming out for the 11. 5 inch rear end. It looks to be a more curved profile, has cooling fins and was told it would hold about a quart more oil. I went ahead and ordered one, but when I called them, they said that they are still in production, and should be sent late August - September. We'll see. He said that they were being made by Con-Ferr. Any opinions on ORU or Con-Ferr covers? I hope it shows up soon, I'm at the point of needing to do my 15k change at 30k now.

FWIW; I noticed the ad for ORU in Four Wheeler and have been looking for a cover for some time, but didn't think that the MagHytek would work with my 315 spare after looking at the stock/315 setup, and wanted to only spend about $150 for one. This seems like it will fit all my requirements. Again... . We'll see.

I have a PML cover that holds one additional quart over stock. There are pictures in my reader rig, the site for the cover is www.yourcovers.com Be interesting to see what the one you mentioned looks like it sounds similar. Sure makes changeing the oil easy.

Looks good, good price too. The Dodge AA has a gear on the side of the ring gear for the ABS sensor, the PML cover has to be machined different than the cover they sell for GM AA. Perhaps that is what is holding up production of that cover.
