Mag-Hytec Transmission Gaskets

Mag-Hytec is a aluminum transmission pan (cover),but requires a rubber or plastic composite gasket not cork as in the stock pan because this is then a aluminum to aluminum contact which is not good ? Corrosin I guess? Anyway where can I locate the best composite gaskets? Thanks !

That's interesting...
My Mag-Hytec pan came with a cork gasket and filter from genos garage.

No other mention of special gaskets at all.

Turbo Terry - According to the Mag-Hytek instructions use Dodge p/n 5012978AA gasket as a replacement.

When I called and ordered the cover I was told to not use cork but I reread the directions and you are right. The one from Dodge is OK it just looks like cork. Well that clears up where I can get gaskets. Thanks for the imfo and time TT

The OE transmission gasket is a cork/neoprene composite.
