Does the mag-hytec pans really drop temps,Or do they slow down the increase. Reason why I ask is I can run up to 190* easily but does not get much higher and drops fast, it is only in stop and go traffic that it will rise otherwise it will stay around 160*,this is when pulling my trailers only . When not pulling it is always runs 140* to 150* ,I would like to stay around 160*to 140* all the time.

I put one of the Mag Double Deep Auto transmission Pans on my '01..... loaded the truck up with everything I would be carrying (Camper, Trailer & 4x4) for a total GVW of 17,500 and took a drive up and down hills - about 25 miles.....

Pulled over and felt the side of the pan - my coffee cup was warmer with a fresh cup of coffee in it.

Temp was about 145...

I think that pan will do a lot toward keeping that transmission (47RE) alive for the new owner a long tima.

I really like mine. My X-Monitor says 130* in all around driving. aven't pulled heavy with it yet. That was a 30* drop from stock for me with same type driving conditions. That's why I went with the rear cover also.
