Hope this is the correct forum for this question to all your Mag-hytech owners out there. I installed my new Mag-Hytech diff. cover last night and found that I have a small problem. MY Dodge is a 2001. 5 ETH DEE 4 X 2 long wide box Quad cab with most of the bells and whistles available.
After installing the Mag-Hytech, and filling with the Amsoil series 2000 75w140, I put the factory spare back in place and found that the tire will rub on top of the new diff. cover. The tires are the factory Michelin A/S LXT 265/75R16.
Carrying the spare in the bed is not an option. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it.
The only answer I have come up with is to put a smaller tire on the spare wheel such as a 245/75R16, and use it very sparingly (pun intended).
