Just a heads up for all you guys who buy one of these products... . Take the plugs out and coat them with anti seeze BEFORE you install them!

It will save you ALOT of time and anguish when you go to do your fluid change

So what I am understanding is, you have to destroy the original plug to get it out and then pay for a new one... hell of a marketing scheme.

That is exactly what I was saying in my previous post!!! I feel a little better knowing that I wasn't the only one that Jerry told to bend over and grab my ankles! It is total BS, VERY poor customer service, and really ticked me off that Jerry has this type of attitude towards his customers...

Yes I am PO'd that my plug would not come out, I want to be very clear that the statements I made were out of frustration and in no way meant to degrade Jerry or the Mag Hy Tek products. I don't want to get into a bashing of Jerry or Mag Hy Tek, I was just venting some of my frustration over the problems I had and hoping I could help someone else avoid them.

I feel the Mag Hy Tek products are of good quality and have never heard of anyone having a problem with Jerry or Mag Hy Teks customer service.



I take some responsibility as I should have known that the plug could lock up like that. I also have a diff cover and am hoping that I do not have the same problem.



Let's not flame a guy that most everyone feels pretty highly about.

I don't care what other people think. I will flame someone if I am a good customer and spend my hard-earned cash for a front and rear diff cover (over $550), I call them up to make things right that were of no fault of my own, and they treat me like a P. O. S. You should not take any responsibilty for your plug issues! If this is as common of a problem as it seems to be, Mag-Hytec should have installed the plug with anti-sieze on the threads or at least instructed customers to do so in the installation instructions.

I am happy that the majority of people out there have had a great experience with Mag Hytec. I wish I was one of them. Thankfully Piers, being the classy guy that he is, stepped up to the plate for Mag Hytec and took care of me. He should not have had to do so IMHO.

When I changed my fluid & filter the plug was stuck also. Banged on the plug head some, whacked the allen a few times, banged some more and finally it came loose. Guess I should have lubed it up before reinstalling it - DUH!



Maybe the Mag-Hytech folks should not install the plug, instead put it in a bag with the allen wrench and seal with special instructions to lube and install @ XX inch pounds. If they did this, then we could only blame ourselves. MHO
