Mag view cover fill level

I have an old Mag View cover on my truck and am not sure if I open the small allen screw under the viewing window to determine oil level or do I fill it to top of the fill hole plug which is a little above the window height till the gear oil pours out ? Any one know as Mag view no longer exists as a company.

Fill to center of the view window. You should still have a dipstick on top of cover. Allen/pipe plug is for temp sender. Still in business as far as I know.

No dip stick on top of cover and did a search. I could find Mag Hytec but not Mag View and called the 877 # and it is disconnected. I wonder if we are talking about the same cover ?

I am going to go thru my old parts bin which is a mess and try to find the old cover and match it up. Thanks for your help and reply.

Here ya go. Correct it does not have a dip stick.

Man that's some clean oil! Had the same cover on my 04 and really made it easy to see level anytime you wanted.

Here is the pic of my cover with stock alongside it. I just filled it till it ran out. It took 1/2 quart as I did think it was low

Level should be here. Maybe an optical illusion, but it looks a smidge lower than the OE cover.

That is where it is at now. You still can not really see the level in the window though, as there is a magnet or some black thing on the bottom of the window blocking the view of the oil level.

yes it should look clean as we had just installed my old cover from my 11 onto my friends 13 and filled with Severe Gear.
