Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) MagHytec transmission Pan

How many quarts of transmission fluid do I need to refill after I pull the pan only and install the dbl deep MagHytec transmission Pan or if I evacuate the whole system and install the dbl deep MagHytec transmission Pan?

4 quarts more than stock. So it's should be 18 or 19 if drain the TC.

I cannot find the amount of quarts in the owners manual and the dealership said 5 quarts, excluding the 4 for the DD pan

I get between 6 and 9 qts without draining the TC. So if you add another 4 for the double deep pan, you're probably looking at 10-13 qts. The stock TC doesn't have a drain, by the way.

Quick Question

Just for future referance, if I wanted to change to synthetic oil how would I drain and flush the TC?

1 of two things. unhook one of the cooler line and flush all of it out or when you have the pan out, loosen up the 10 bolts holding the valve body and it will drain,

Depending on what year your truck is the amount changes. I believe in 2001 they started putting a deeper pan on stock. . so it takes a little less... I can not remember for sure.
