magnetic field increases HP

Thanks, TDR Staff

Anyone need a pump?

test

Just something I found from one of DOC's links... . interesting stuff. Wonder if if could be proven on a dyno.

"3: After much digging on the net and experimentation I have come to the conclusion that Diesel fuel passed through a magnetic field burns far more efficiently than fuel not subjected to magnetic flux. We can argue about this one until the cows come home so I'm just gonna briefly some up what I found out.

Apparently, when diesel (or petrol for that matter) lays in a fuel tank for any length of time the hydrocarbon atoms begin to join up creating longer and varied strings. When fed into a combustion chamber and ignited this fuel tends to behave in an incendiary fashion and flame rather than explode because its molecules are of different sizes and boil at different temperatures. This produces heat rather than power and leads to many hydrocarbons going un-burnt. It's these that foul up the inside of your engine, are blown out the exhaust and help cause pollution stoppable only in part buy expensive catalytic converters.

On the other hand, fuel passed through a strong magnetic flux has all its molecules broken up by that flux so that they are all the same length. Unlike the untreated fuel this diesel becomes percussive in nature and explodes when ignited as all the atom strings are now uniform in length. . Less heat is produced and BHP increased by anything from 5-20%. The effect is more noticeable on diesels I think because it has longer hydrocarbon atoms to start with and thus more to be worked on or felt from, as it were.

Anyway, I tried a bunch of high power magnets on my fuel line (car) just before the injector and noticed the difference straight away although it was small. Smoother mid range, better starting, more power and importantly the temperature of the air blown out by the cars heater dropped markedly. Tests showed by 10 degrees. A sure sign something was happening!

If you wanna try this, South pole to South pole gets best results. I used surplus magnets recovered from scrap computer hard drives. Be careful though as some are extremely strong and can cause injuries if handled wrongly. And remember, not all these magnets have their Poles on the flat sides (which is what you're ideally after here). "

I new it all along. I always tell my wife I couldn't mow the lawn because the planets were out of sync. And if you tighten up the framus with your left handed pre-stiped gonkalator armiture it will give you moments of trouble free service.

magnetic field

Think... . ferrous... . that is to say: magnetic. As in iron, etc.

Going back to my A&E mechanic days, I was always under the assumption that burning, rather than exploding, was the desired effect of the ignition cycle. It has something to do with complete burning and smooth power... ... as against pinging and harsh impact on the piston/con-rod link.

Magnetic influence on organic materials... ie: diesel... nada... nil. . zero... zip... .

From http://www.csicop.org/si/9801/powell.html

"My literature search found no credible research reports pertaining to magnetic fuel treatment. The utter lack of published test data is revealing. According to the vendors, magnetic fuel treatment has been around for at least fifty years. If it actually worked as claimed, it seems likely that it would by now be commonplace. It is not. "

I have a magnetic water treatment device, it worked great after I put a handle on it and started using it to pick up nails on the shop floor.

You don't need magnets if you just want the flux field. All you have to do is wrap wire around your fuel line and give it a current source and it will create a magnetic field for you. So if you wanted to do this, you could have it run off the batteries just like the grid heaters. You'd have to put a resistor in there to keep it from shorting and melting the wire.

As a little garage tip for the non believers of the coiled wire:

Next time you need a magnet or want to magnetize a screw driver or other steel tool to hold a screw or nut for you, wrap a copper wire around the tool you want magnetized. Get a good 5 to 10 coils of wire on the tool. Then put one end of the wire on the negative battery post and when you are ready, quickly brush the other end of the wire across the positive post. Note I said QUICKLY BRUSH. Do this a couple of times for the best results. It will spark and if you linger on the post, you'll have a heck of a mess.

Remove the wire from the tool. The tool is now magnetized.

Back to the magnetization effects on fuel. I think that if the magnetic field is somehow assisting with creating laminar flow (consistent allignment of the fuel molecules), it could help. I don't see how the magnetic field could produce this result on organic material. People that wear magnetic bracelets say the magnets help stop aches and pains and increase memory and people are made of organic material. But, if you could create a laminar flow I think it would make a difference mainly because the fuel delivery would be more consistent without the agitation byproduct normally associated with diesel fuel (foaming).

I don't vouch for it, but did read something to the following effect;

I do recall that when the first orbiting astronauts returned from a few days in space, they seemed to have trouble standing and walking.

They no longer have this problem on their return, and what I read is that ONE of the things NASA did to alleviate this problem was to induce a magnetic field in the space ships similiar to that on earth????

Don't make claims for it, but thought provoking.

Well anyone with access to a dyno & some wire and electrical knowledge could eaisly show results via the graph. If the Dyno doesn't read it in the graph via the curve, then it amounts to a hill of beans.

On the other hand, the best examples in life come from nature... . so until proven with tangiable evidence... . its only a therory... .

magnetic field

CReagal, I think you might be on to something I myself do remember reading somthing to that effect, I think Igonna take my Q-ray off my wrist and wrap it around my fuel line. :D :D

For all of the people drawing the parallel between people and fuel: don't forget that people are more complex than fuel. Magnets affect people because our nervous system (incl. brain) is basically an electo-chemical system. To my knowledge, diesel fuel doesn't have a nervous system. :p

a 92 year old friend of mine had some magnets she put on her knees and she swore by them for awhile. She said they did help. I read the literature that came with them and the company stated that the magnets alleviated pain because the magnets attracted the iron in blood which caused the blood to flow to the affected spot. Only trouble is... iron dissolved in liquid does NOT have magnetic properties. (Neither does iron above about 750 degrees if I remember right) So their explanation was junky science. But that doesn't mean magnets don't help alleviate pain, it just means nobody at that company had much common sense. But I tried her magnets and I didn't notice any difference at all.

We are missing the point here. This science will positively charge your wallet and the money will be drawn to their negative science.

Or, this dino fuel came from deep in the earth and is already magnetized!!!

Bull fuel or is it /Bull fool !!

I tried magnets on my fuel line but removed them because they kept sucking the bust enhancement cream I was using to enlarge my turbo off.

I'm thinking of supergluing strong magnets to the side of the kid's heads, they are killing me with these grocery bills, they might be ridiculed at school but I could use the money, any sugestions? Also would building a pyramid from magnetised steel and parking my old Dodge under it make my transfer case stop leaking? Oh yea, hdm48, please learn to spell you words properly, "gonkalator has two k's not one, you hillbilly, all in good fun... . JTMcC
