Hey guys, I stumbled across this ebay ad and I thought it was a really good idea... anybody using this type of thing? If i could get your thoughts that would be really  :)

TIA,

Carl Gauthier

Ooops lol forgot to post the link go here #ad

Mine's magnetic, too. At 14. 4K, I'm not going to waste time trying a link I wont buy anything from anyway. (I hear they like you to have money in the acct when you write the check. )

Mine is a custom job, with a bigger nut welded to the hex head that I would assume got rounded off by someone trying to use a SAE wrench on metric bolts/heads. I use a 10" Vice grip, and the "machinist" was kind enough to leave a goodly gap between the nut and the bottom of the drain pan to allow me to get a good bite on it with my fancy pliers. :-laf

Lol Daniel, havin $ in your account is preferred when writing checks-i heard that too, picky b-----ds haha. So what you guys are sayin that all our drain plugs are magnetic? I didn't even think to check that when I changed the oil #ad
If so that's good, just might have to remagnetize it to make it a little stronger "magnetization". Thanks bro's :)

I can't speak with any certianty, but I know that my '92 has a magnetic plug that appears to be OEM.

Replacing the plug couldn't hurt - if nothing else, you're getting a new plug that shouldn't leak. ;)

I epoxy'd small magnets to the drain plug in my Jeep rear axle (the front had one from the factory). The magnet in the D70 caught all the shims that my truck puked, so I'm a firm believer that it's a good idea. :D
