Seems as if alot of peoples warranties are being voided by crooked dealers. Has anyone had any luck with magnusen moss act. I found this on oregon fuel injection website earlier.

YOUR RIGHTS

Point out to the dealer the provisions of the Magnuson-Moss Act. Require that he explain to you how the after-market equipment caused the problem. If he can't - or his explanation sounds questionable - it is your legal right to demand he comply with the warranty.

Wrap-up: If you are still being unfairly denied warranty coverage, there is recourse. The Federal Trade Commission, which administers the Magnuson-Moss Act, monitors compliance with warranty law. Direct complaints to the FTC at (202) 326-3128.

YUP, you CAN do that - IF you have enough money to fight the corporate lawyers and expert authorities the manufacturer or dealer WILL provide to defend themselves -and IF you can afford to let your truck stand idle for the 2-3 years it will likely take for your case to go thru the courts.

You stand a LOT better chance of winning the lottery than successfully pursuing a MM case...

If you really think the dealerships or top brass at the factories quake in their boots over MM threats, I've got news for you...

a couple of months ago the dealer told me i neded a new oil pressure sender unit and a new stereo and that niether of them were covered under the warranty. i told him to let it go,i wasnt going to pay some 200. 00 plus & 500. 00 for the stereo. later i located my warranty & both of those things are covered. ill be back before 2008 to see him. carl
