 a buddy of mine has a 2001, 2500, 8' bed, with the Cummins engin, and has less than 100,000 miles on it. The only suspention mods he has made is after market tires ans rims, and tires. He is having a problum with his front end, and thed dealer told him that because he had different tires and rims his problum was not coverd under warranty.

I just bought new tires for my '03 a few months ago, and when I asked the service manager at the same dealer if I could put bigger tires on it without having warranty issues and he said it wouldn't be a problum.

I am waiting to get more speciffics about his problum, andwill post it later. He did say that the dealer and another local shop could not find the problum. For now, does anybody know if this would void any part of his power train warranty?

Front end steering components aren't covered under the power train warranty. You aren't specific if the problem is with the drive axle or steering. If you expect service from this dealer, and are concerned with the warranty, then get them to give you the OK for tires in writing. Else find another dealer, or leave it stock.

Ditto on what NPS said, or buy the tires / rims through the dealer and have them installed by the dealer.

Yes there have been stories on here with guys having warranty work on the front end denied due to the bigger tires/rims.
