.223 Reloading Problem....

For the lush who wants to be "off the grid..."

I read in the Atlanta paper this week they're going to start importing clean diesel light trucks and suv's in the next year or so. They look alot like crew cab tacoma's and 4runners and cost in the low $20's new. Not a bad looking vehicle but buy one and all you do is ship more jobs to third world countries. No telling what kind of safety and environmental regs being broken @ the Mahindra plant (at least the workers don't have to wear safety glasses  )

I dunno much about Mahindra, but my father in law just bought a Branson tractor, (it's Korean), primarily because it's equipped with a 65hp Cummins.

Info on Mahindra (taken from Tractordata.com):

Mahinda

1963-Present

Mahindra is a major manufacturing corporation in India, involved in metals, automobiles, and farm machinery. In 1963, Mahindra joined with International Harvester to form the International Tractor Company of India (ITCI) and was producing a version of the B275 by 1965. The partnership with International ended in 1971, and ITCI merged back with Mahindra as the tractor division. The "Mahindra" brand name was first used on tractors in 1982. In 1994, Mahindra USA was formed to export tractors to the United States.

That 65 horse Cummins is also made in Korea. It is a great engine- 2. 0 liter. It is used in our Doosan/Daewoo forklifts and skid steers, along with the bigger 3. 3 liter Cummins which is made in Japan. Doosan-Daewoo makes a nice skid steer loader. I wish KUBOTA would ever build one! If it were as good as the rest of their equipment, it would be tough to beat.

I am waiting for less than a year now (Jan. 1 2008) to sell a fleet of Clean Diesel Doosan-Daewoo forlkifts to a great customer of mine. They will be equipped with the 2. 0 and 3. 3 liter Cummins engines.

Actually, the engine in the Branson is the 3. 3 L.

That is an EXCELLENT engine. Built in Japan as a joint venture between Komatsu and Cummins. Remember, our 5. 9 and 3. 9's started in 1983 as a joint venture between Case equipment company and Cummins. Where there is a demand, Cummins finds a way!

I am anxiously awaiting the Tier III 3. 3's to be put in the D25 Doosan-Daewoo lifts so I can sell about 30 of them!

We have had a Mahindra on our farm for over 10 years. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Great tractor. I think they are imported by Case. I could be wrong. Two thumbs up on Mahindra.
