went just under 1500 miles in 4 days in the deserts of Calif. traveling nearly exclusively on secondary roads (all except 80 mi. ) picked to help break in the mighty cummins. Total average was 18. 78 MPG, much fun and this truck handles amazingly well, some new toyota pickup was following us near the windy roads of Jullian, Ca. when I pulled over just long enough for him to pass THEN I stayed within 30 ft of his back bumper for several miles as a reminder to him that a properly optioned Ram (one with a Cummins & 6 speed) was a vehicle that he had better not mess with again!

In all seriousness, this is a nice truck. Even a young woman at Death Valley said that it was; "that is a nice truck". We are supposed to get snow here tonite, so I guess I won't get to drive it now until Friday when I take it to my shop to change the oil.

I love this truck!!!!!

The more you drive it, the more you will love it. The appreciation for these trucks really sinks in when you have been driving something else for a while.

I know I really love mine. :D Oo.

Mine gets better with time:)

The more I tow with mine, the more I like it. It never ceases to amaze me.

Just when I think I won't be able to hold my speed pulling my 15,000lb 5th wheel up a hill,it digs in and keeps pulling. :D

I went to Oklahoma and back a couple weeks ago. Even stock, only a very few hill's did I have to downshift to 4th.

I'm almost hesitant to put the #11 TST plate in. ;)

Congrats on your new truck. The fun is only starting. About that oil change you are about to do, give Cummins a call and ask about break in and first oil change. I seem to remember that they recommend leaving the oil in for at least 3000 miles before first change. Maybe someone else remembers and can help clarify. Enjoy
