I have close to 14,000 miles on my truck now. Am I forgetting any maintenance chores I need to be doing besides changing the oil filter and oil, changing the fuel filter, cleaning the air filter, and rotateing the tires? I only tow about twice a year. Mostly just daily driving.

Check all fluid levels. Check brake fluid condition. Inspect brakes. Check for wear in front end components. Check for wear in throttle linkage. Look it over carefully for signs of something going wrong like a slow leak from the water pump or leaking seals in the transmission. Check tires for wear patterns. Clean as much as you can. When I service my truck it takes a while.

May want to pump out power steering reservoir and add synthetic fluid... drive a few hundred and repeat. Over time, you'll have replaced most of the old fluid. Less howling in cold weather.
