I have a '99 2500 auto ram, and I'm fairly new to owning it. It's up to 60K miles and I was woundering what kind of routine maintence I should be performing. Also, I change my oil ever 3000 miles but I was told that I can go 7500, what's the deal with that?

Thanks,

Greg

Schedule A vs. Schedule B

City Driving/Severe Service vs. Highway Driving

Depends on your circumstances and usage I reckon.

Hope that helps.

I change oil/filter at 5,000 and fuel filter every 10,000. With my driving, I figure it's a good compromise between the 2 schedules and besides, it makes it easy to know when it 's time to do the changes. ;)

I'm with The Sequel. All of my miles are highway and I do the oil at 5,000. I just did my coolant at 50,000 (don't scold me, please) which was a few months shy of two years. I managed to get 5 gallons out of the system so I got a good change. Next, I plan on flushing the brake fluid. I did the rear end at around 15,000 and went back with synthetic. When I can get the lube, I'll do the transmission.
