Major electrical gremlins; I need help

No 4X4 light on dash

On the way to the market I remembered that the clock spring (some where near the top of the steering column) mite have wires with insulation wore off ( one member many years ago had electric problems and it tuned out be wires in the clock spring).


Looked at fsm clock spring is supposed to have wires only going to air bag but that is questionable because the horn button needs power wires (steering wheel/column are grounded) . So does the cruise switches need wires.
Looking at horn and cruise switches removal wires do come from clock spring.

Thanks so much for your help.. the truck is back on the road. The problem was a corroded ground stud under the left battery box. You guys were right. There are grounds everywhere!
