Just a quick question. I am going to sell the VA box and opt for the DD Ultimate. transmission is good to go and I think I am ready. Now I want to know if it is almost guaranteed that I will have a lift pump failure? I will install a pusher but I want the box now...

Thanks, Greg

you will be ok , get a fuel pressure gauge and check your fuel pressure , as soon as you can move your stock pump back , it will be cheaper and give you the needed results .

I agree with Scott,

Greg, best bet is to hook a FP gauge and take a ride, it's not worth guessing IMHO.

Furthermore, install gauges. Gauges (see sig. ) were one of my very first mods and allowed me to find my failing lift pump before it resulted in consequential (VP44) damage.

It is my speculation, based on what I have seen with my truck, that the stock pump (pre 3990105) just can not handle any additional fueling over an EZ/VA box.

When time permit's, I will be relocating my new lift pump (3990105) closer to the fuel tank :D
