major problems what to do????

where to start?? here goes ,im posting this under 03-07 because its a common rail its a 04- isl-400 i bought it awhile back and i just finished getting it in the truck. i have my road relay hooked up the ecm says the motor has 16,000 miles with about 320 hours the oil pressure is good and i cleared a temp sensor code someone cut the plug and took the sensor and ran it up to temp today and it had a slight miss and noticed it smoking some blue well i shut it off and noticed the top of the oil filter housing had oil on it well it looks to be coming out of the exhaust manifold where it connects together so i pulled the two piece manifold off and no-1 cyl is oil soaked with this less miles could it be an injector failure i will be tearing into it in a week or two to see whats going on here is a link to the project https://www.turbodieselregister.com...re-power-cat-3116-out-isl-400-jake-going.html

Are you sure it oil soak and Not fuel?

If it is knocking it could be the injector valve is stuck open.

i took a heat gun and checked the manifold no-2 was about 10*s warmer than no-1. im guessing this is why they pulled the motor and installed a new one you would think cummins would have wanted this one back to see whats wrong with it whats involved in pulling the injector i had the jake brake off when i checked the valve clearance earlier

there is no knocking i hear a small rattle sound in the front kinda like gears meshing
