I have always blown some smoke but now it is like BAD (good kind of) I mean cars now back off big time. All that I have changed is boring out the banjo bolts on the inlet side of the f/filter. I am up 2 pounds of boost but even under 36 pounds of boost she still a smoking. There is alot more power now, I was just in it hard merging into traffic and hit a wet patch of road and got side ways in 4th    :D

Is my truck got a bombers ghost?

Banjo Bolts

Drawson,

I think I'll try drilling my banjo bolt's out, nothing better than free HP:D What drill size did you use?

It will be interesting to see if I get the same result, my truck is almost identical to yours in the bomb department (don't have the electric fans).

Spin Filter?????

My truck has a canister that the fuel filter is housed in. What is this spin on? An after market thing???

No, it's the stock fuel filter. It spins on like an oil filter & has the water separator drain out the bottom.

Mines a 96.

Canister/Spin-on filter

My '97 has the canister type fuel filter. I believe the 94/95 trucks have the spin on type fuel filter, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Question for Drawson, did you drill out all the banjo fittings or just the one at the inlet to the filter? TIA

I did the the outlet and one at the injection pump about a month ago and the inlet just monday and it only had three hole in it.

Spin-on answer

DC used the spin-on type of fuel filter on the pre 12/96 motors, and the canister/cartridge-type on the 1/97+ motors. Mine is a 1997 model, with a 9/96 motor... guess which one I have?

Does anyone have any pics of the procedure?... . kinda like what I'd see if there were a 'Surgery Channel' on CATV. I'm still learning about my P7100 and my 6BTA.....

I'm A L W A Y S interested in learning ways to get more power!!!!

New generation trucks - spin on filter 94 thru 96(roughly)

cartridge 97 on up.

I believe that the cartridges fuel filter with cannister that screws off from the bottom uses the banjo bolts also (but correct me if wrong).
