Last night I let my truck warm up for about 25 min as it was only about 15* out. I came out to see about 3-4 quarts of trans fluid on the ground and steady small stream coming from around the bell housing dust shield. Strange time to spring a leak. I thought something like that would be more likely to happen while driving. My thoughts are; cracked torque converter, converter drain bolt came loose, bad front trans seal or maybe a rubbed through cooler line. It was cold and late at night so I had to leave it and did not get a chance to look at it closer. The Dtt trans has 160K on it and about 4 weeks ago I accidentally hit reverse at about 15 mph and truck came to screeching halt. Since then t/c clutch would not lock up even when forced with a switch. I am thinking I may have damaged something that has now led to this leak. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
