make backseat to bed? ideas?

i have a 2500 quadcab and was thinking about if its possible to

make some custom brackets so i could slide my backseat out as a bed?

the lenght of it will do but it isnt easy to sleep to in that truck

but if i get a bit wider bed it will do

looked on those sleepers they posted here

but not for that price and i still want to use the backseat.



has anybody made somthing like this?

or should i just simply throw playwood over it and sleep on that?

Get a factory flat loading floor for under the seat from a wrecked Ram and an air mat. The floor folds up under the back seat, and then the back seat folds down for normal use.

Sounds like a great idea if your under 5' 10" or so, which will never work for me.

I have the fold out floor that makes a flat surface when the seats are folded up. It works real good with a thin mattress pad for sleeping. However, I am only 5'8" and I could not stretch out fully, even while sleeping diagonally. The newer crew cab, or a mega cab, with the bigger back seats might be adequate if they come with the fold out option.

I used to sleep in the truck when transporting RV's. Now, my hope is to never have to sleep in the truck again!

it works good for me when im 5'3" but the problem is when we are 2.

sure the frontseat works but it isnt fun cause the middle consloe is higher than the seats. .

No, the Ram fold flat floor optional equipment allows handy concealed storage under the flat deck surface.

okay but does the flat floor lay on top of the storage are or attach under the seat? any good pictures? i hav not found some! where to buy?

I measured the rear seat platform on my truck, which only is 5' 5" from door to door. On post #3, I had said that it was 5' 10", that's incorrect.
