Nope, not at all. After all we've been through the last three weeks, I find this amusing. I'm just having a little fun. Cheers. Joe

msmtd is my twin, so be nice to him! hehe

Hey MSMTD, I couldn't believe my ears, when I heard a bunch of diesel nuts from the other boards talking about you at a truck pull, up here in Michigan. I told them I knew you and gave them your address. I think they plan to pay you a visit this weekend. LMAO

Doc

Darn them PIMPS!

So, when a member decides to post unproven, falsified and out right lies about the stuff thet "pimp" for do they have to pay more than a membership? I hope so cause there is more time wasted fighting off some FOS little "PIMP" on these threads than anything.

If the word "PIMP" bothers the culprit, he must remember it is his words I'm using!

So I drained the sucker and it came out like stewed prunes, I a hollered ta ma to get them canning jars out here but my boy Zeke said ma was in the barn weighing the mailman. :D :D

If it were not for all those buys pushing their wares and argueing about which was best and why;

why, I'd be a whole lot less informed.

If I am not interested, I don't have to read.

Thanks guys for all the info.

And ah, by the way, there is a difference between calling a spade a spade, and calling it a "goddamed shovel"

Vaughn

Merryman, I do see your point, however if obvious untruths are used the information becomes... misinformation. One guy said he drained his trans oil at 26,000 and it was thick, burnt and disgusting. I drained mine (same factory oil) at 150K+ on a truck that was worked HARD and saw nothing like that. I see you are a retired judge, what would you lean towards, curious? Send a private if you would.

I just feel that if you gotta tell tall tales to sell anything you are insulting the intellegence of the members, and besides it just is not right to B. S. for personal gain.

It is nice to that 956 Knows all Sees all, and because something didn't happen to him, why, it must not be true!

I believe a Texan of all people would be careful about calling others liars when he is just going by a "hunch" instead of proof.

Many more trucks have NOT had 5th gear fall off than have, but I guess I should call those guys that it happened to liars because it did not happen to me!?

Reasoning like that is a shortcut to thinking.

Oh gosh Gene you sure know how to hurt a guy! Who is the Texan you are talking about? It must be terribly painful having your head up there!:p

Get over it, you wouldn't make a pimple on a salesmans ---.

I do however appreciate your professional opinion on my personality as well as thought function. Now pluck you head out and try to be nice. This was not started as a personal attack, you have made it so.

The forementioned statements are strictly the opinion of a person living in a free society and practicing free speech, this freedom is backed by our constitution.

956wheel, I'm not sure if you're talking about MGM and Amsoil but it seems you are - if I'm wrong I'm sorry. Here's my experience, I drained the Castrol out of my NV4500 at ~40,000 miles and it was the most ugly disgusting fluid I'd ever seen. It was milky grey and foamy - I only put 16,000 of those 40,000 miles on (bought it used with 24,000) so I don't know what happened to it before I bought it. Changed it at that point with Syntorq and ran it until 80,000 miles, when I drained it at that point (after quite a bit of abuse) it looked fine, however I was having some shifting problems namely into third gear (when racing). Filled it with Amsoil Series 2k 75w90 and my shifts are smoother than they ever were even when I put the new Castrol into it. I also had the opportunity to look at Gene's gears and inside of his transmission when he had his transmission rebuilt and the inside of mine when I had the 5th gear nut fix installed (one day apart - back in January, we were both having new clutches installed) and his transmission looked a LOT better than mine inside - and he had more mileage on his. Needless to say that was enough for me to change to the Amsoil at my next fluid change. JMHO

SSL,

I bought my '95 3500 from a friend who shows horses. The truck was bought for the sole purpose of towing a 4 horse trailer throughout the country. I bought the truck with 150K+ on it and changed out the oil (factory) shortly after obtaining the truck. The oil appeared used but not abnormal. I took a sample to the lab at work, (I am a machinist for the utility industry), to have it analized just for "fun". These boys know a little about oil as one of their main functions is to test the lubricants of steam and hydro turbines as well as the lubes in the auxiliary equipment. They had nothing whatsoever to gain by telling me that the oil was in good shape considering its use.

I do not "know all" as the gentleman has posted but certainly the "kind" man must never give his product a poor report. As for how your oil got "milky", would you not suspect moisture entering the trans?

The "gentleman" was seemingly bothered by my using the word "PIMPING" regarding his marketing the oil of concern, truth beit the above quoted word is taken directly from another of his spiteful attacks on a fellow member.

If a member chooses to "play" thats fine but in doing so one must realize that they have no right to shut down another members thoughts/experiences. A personal attack was in no way due in this case... . its only oil! If I, or other, members were to decide a change in products was due would they go to this man? I do not think so.

In closing, why is it that the TDRs last publishing CLEARLY pointed out different results then those often posted by those distributing the "oil of concern".

BTW, Did you have that bad oil tested?

Mike

P. S. I have left out all names in hopes that the gentleman may not feel attacked or ridiculed.

Mikey,

You have to get out of the tunnel. READ what other people say.

I never questioned your oil/trans exprience. Yet you questioned mine. (150,000 miles, good oil? WOW! I'm impressed! Good for you! What luck!)

I WAS NEVER bothered by the Pimp word, I use it and laugh when it is thrown back- where did you get I am bothered by that from?

Only oil? Your behavior and statements has nothing to do with oil.

YOU have been trying to shut my expriences down by hinting I was telling tall tales to sell product!

And I have "misinformation"

What a joke! I doubt I have ever sold a qt from my posts, but I sure hope I stopped somebody from being RIPPED off $22 a quart!

I will give my product a poor report as soon as I get one back from the lab, and your hero knows when a product fails me, I let everybody know!

The last TDR? Clearly?

I question your motives.

Son of the Gun!! We have some thing in common!

Hey MR. BLAH BLAH,

Please read this thread from end to end, the only time I mentioned your name is when you took it upon yourself to believe that I was writting about you! Then you proceeded to do a personality rating of me. Now I feel it is time I do my diagnosis of your mental state:

You are an insecure man whose lack of confidance leads you to believe that everything must have something to do with you, this is a severe character flaw and you may or may not have it in you to try reality rather than going on and pretending you are something special.

This will seem VERY childish to most, myself included, but if reviewed it will come clear to one that you have put your name on this not me as you will go on trying to believe. Don't take that stupid oil so seriously, are you a teenager... certainly not.

Men make the money, money does not make the man... . same with cars, homes, OIL and most other possesions.

goodnight

your friend,

Mike

Apology accepted Mike!

Thanks, I didn't expect it from you! I will edit to fix things up!

And I, in turn, extend my apologies to you. I meant everything I said in the nicest way possible.

And you are right, I should never have thought you were talking about me just because you quoted me word for word, how silly of me!

I did not realize there could be more than one guy with my mastery of the English language.

It is funny, I started to talk about vendors being a good thing for the site, and somehow YOU brought up oil. Odd you keep saying this was about oil?!?

Oh well, on to the next battle! Want to talk about clutches?

Gene

Happy

I am so pleased that you have reached a relaxed state. Your happiness means more to me than can ever be imagined!

I will be in York in the spring and would not want to miss the opportunity to meet you. If you feel a metal detector is necessary, by all means be my guest.

Do not be alarmed as I really do play the violin.

My best is yours,

Mike

You'll miss the leaves.

That would be great, Hammer is from down there also, we could get a little rally going and discuss our BOMBs, eh?
