Well went to a buds house yesturday and his Pa is a big caddy lover I supose he has 3 he drives all the time and about 4-5 parts cars ... what neat is these old cars have more common luxarys then the new vehicals out right now !! as you go threw the old cars your amazed ! Self diming and brightening headlights stock is awesome but it is just the begginging for these old boats heck I think the whippers come on by there self if the water sencor on the bottom of the windshield is touched with water ..... its crazy but if you can think of it chances are its on a caddy some where...

What Was I looking for ????..... I wanted the Caddy horn mine is kind of whimpy sounding for a big truck... . I pulled a horn and touched it on a good battery and it was sick so I pitched it as I was eyeing under the hood fighting off Wasp I noticed something ... ... . something promising ... ... ON BOARD AIR !!!!!!

Im pretty sure it was for the self leveling system on the caddy .

I pulled it and touched it on a good battery and PPPSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTT ... . we have contact and alot of it this little compressure really works good ... . So what to do with it ... . and how ????

It will require a little paint Im thinking of sand blasting it real good and putting some MOPAR purple on it ..... I think I will mount it under the hood and run a toggle to the cab.

I grabbed a JC whitney and looked at there ON BOARD AIR SYTEMS and its just about the same thing ... they have resivor tanks that you can pick up and not have to buy the whole thing . .

I guess the first thing I need to do is figger out how much Air it pushes and then figger out what Im going to use it for ???

Air Shocks

Levelers

Tire air ups and rescues

AIR HORN (TRAIN POSSIBLE)

Impacts ... I doubt it but would that be cool

What do you guys think ???

OH yeah heres some picks !

Out of the 4 wires I only used 2 to get it to pump I think the other 2 were for the leveling system sencors on the caddy ???

No gen purpose air onboard, but I do have a set of airhorns that have a small compressor to drive them - high pressure, low volume and no reserve.

Thought about getting an air system with a large reserve tank inside the frame rails - think pacbrake (or BD) sells aux tanks for their air-driven exhaust brakes. Driving it with a small portable 12V tire compressor would give enough pressure to inflate tires.

How much pressure on the caddy pump? My guess is the black and green wires are power and gnd, with the red and white wires coming from a pressure switch or some other sensor as you have speculated.

I just installed a 2. 5 Gallon air tank on the my truck and have run my air lines. Waiting for my compressor, 12V valve and figuring out where to mount the air horns. I have left the possibility to use the air for other things open by mounting a valve to mount a air hose to.

I have that same compressor on my truck filling a 1/2 gal tank for my air horn. Performance of the compressor is pitiful at best. Takes 7 minutes to fill the tank from 0 lbs and would only get it up to 115 when I installed it 3 months ago... . now I'm lucky to 80lbs out of it. Forget about running anything but a horn off it. If you want to use it as a proof of concept tool, or to layout an idea of what you want, go for it. Otherwise, I would recommend saving your pennies for real compressor... something like a Viair 350C can be had for ~$130.

No clue on the year of caddy but the pump is on the front clip Drivers side really easy to get it off ... . check the parking lots... . just kiddin'

I still need to plug the outlet and use the tire valve stem thingy to see what kind of pressure Im getting.
