Just took an early lunch break and went to the metal yard and the truck parts store.

Picked up 3 feet of 4" exhaust tubing, 7 feet of 5" exhaust tubing. and 3 feet +/- of 4" flex pipe and a 6 foot chuck of 6x3 3/16 box tubing.

I opted for black stacks just becuase I think they look better (and are quite a bit cheaper to make, I've got 70 bucks into the whole setup so far)

Going from my current 4" turbo back to 5" mitre cut black stacks with a square tube splitter in the bed.

Going to run a short chunk of 4" inside of the 5" up about 12" from the box tube to try to reduce the amount of soot spray, any comments on that?

I should be done with it either tonight or tommorow depending on the little lady. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

Any comments/suggestions for along the way?

4in inside 5 works great for keeping out water but you get some black smoke out around the base. If you have a tonneu cover everything under it will be black. My 4in only comes about 7in up though, if you go a foot or more it might be better. So far i've had my truck shoot out soot once and it was on a dewey morning.

I did my son's 92 pretty much that way, except i used elbows instead of flex. I also put a little diverter (sheet metal ) inside the box tubing to try and balance the flow side to side better. Randy

Well, there all done and made, just gotta figure out mounts in the mornin and put em in the truck, got the old exhaust off, welded everything up, just gotta get em painted and put em in tommorow mornin. . I think one of them is turned a little bit more than the other. . not a lot, couple degrees is all, im to burnt out to fix it, if its to noticeable in the truck I will, if not..... run it!

I also went with the divider little triangle right at the inlet and an angle peice right at the outlets ended up with about 10" of 4" inside the 5" becuase thats just what I hapepend to have laying in the garage... hopefully they sound good and dont blow soot all over the place... going from 4" w/ a muffler to 5" no muffler. . should sound better... i hope...
