Hey all, I have a question concerning putting stacks on our pickups? I am just begining a cummins/GMC conversion and am planning on going with stacks.
Anyway, I have seen quite a few setups and I am just wondering what way you all think is the best idea? I have seen many with 4" turbo back up into the box and then a Y-pipe to each stack. To me this flows nicely but clutters the box up and doesn't leave a neat job. The one I have seen and liked was a 4" pipe from the turbo up thru the floor which flowed into a 4"x6" piece of rectangular tubing capped at both ends. From there on either end of the 4x6 they had 5" stacks comming straight up. This was a very clean looking setup but the guy said it took a bit to tune it so that smoke came out both sides evenly. In order for him to do this he had to put a upside down V-baffle to make the smoke flow out to both sides of the stacks evenly.
Anyone have any other views or opinions let me know... .
Thanks... Ryan
