Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) malfunction indicator light on

Hi do i have to take this to the dealer or can i just take it to a diesel mec.

Depends

The software to read and turn off the light is readily available on the internet. I use a Harrison R&D set up and it works on almost all cars. Not sure what year truck you have but I think the newer trucks can access the codes with the ignition key. Not sure how this is done. In my neck of the woods Autozone will read them for free. Hope this helps

try this. turn key on (not start) then key off. do three times on the third time stopping at key on. the codes should show up on your LED for the odometer. good luck.

went down to autozone and they scanned it and it came up withp0121 and they sold me a tps



is that hard to install thanks

Well i opened the box and she gave me a tps for a 4. 7 jeep so i took it back and she said whoops we cant get one for that must be a dealer item so i called the dealer and they said 425. 00 plus shipping does this sound right any help would be great thanks :{ :{
