Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Well I got my first MIL on the 01 yesterday and when I tried the ignition trick it wouldn't bring up any codes. Bought a cheap scanner at Harbor freight and after fussing with it got a P0237( low boost input turbo sensor). Cleared the code and drove around some more and the mil light came back(same code). Checked at the dealer for a map sensor and they wanted $241 for it plus it required an adapter to mate with the stock wiring harness. A call to Cummins brought a price of $81 but I needed to drive about 45 minutes each way. The thought of saving $160 made kept a smile on my face threw the morning traffic and the Cummins sensor required no adapter. Saved enough for a few more years of TDR and paid for the scanner
The cummins price is up a little from when I got one years ago, but MAN I'm glad I didnt go to dodge for it. Thats insane!! Its great when it all works like that.
