mallory mount problem

hello everyone, I have had my mallory mount on for about four weeks and it keeps coming loose has anyone else had this happen, I'm sure the stock air box nut's are not the way to go, any good remedies, I sure could use some or the mount might have to go!!!:{ Thanks Don

I used standard hex nuts with washers and lock washers... . No problem here. You might try some locktite on the threads as well.

I drilled a 1/8 hole in the upright side and used a short bunge to the inside of the fender. Works for me. also gives it some stability Jim

I think they are 10 or 8 mm studs. Large fender washer, lock washer and torqued nut and mine has never come loose.

I use vacuum-line plugs. They are readily available, come in a box with multiple sizes included, and both male/female types in those sizes. I think it was the 3/16 female that I used. They screw on nicely, hold the plate down, and make a nice cushion for the filter.
