Man, I just can't get search to return anything

It won't give a hit on even the simplest thing. For example: "clutch" in the 24V Engine/Drivetrain Forum -- zip



No combination of Forums, date ranges, titles vs. body, etc. works. What in the world am I doing wrong?

IMHO the trick is to not waste your time with it, the search feature here is worthless.

I had used it ever since first joining TDR and up to a few months back with good results, so something has changed recently. I've read the "server too busy" threads and the minimum word length increase from three to four characters, but nothing about shutting down the search feature entirely. I'm just so accustomed to using searches when researching issues elsewhere (not just on TDR), it's frustrating enough when I can't coax the results I want, but not to get any results is really frustrating, especially right now when I'm trying to research issues for a non-member. The current performance doesn't represent the site well, IMO.
