You just Smoked a PSD...what mods do you tell them about?

My occupation requires me to travel quite often in the southern region of the country (Atlanta). And everytime I see a CTD... . I wonder if he/she is a fellow TDR member. Drives me nuts not knowing.

Been wondering the same thing. Finally put a TDR badge on front and rear of both our trucks. If you see me honk and wave or lets find a place for a cup of coffee. I'm all over the south and will stop if I'm not running on an emergency.

TDR badge

So where do I get a TDR badge (shirts, hats, decals, mugs)? I just bought my first CTD. Thought about a 1/2 ton gas truck. Then I drove my 2500. It was all over but the check-writing.

Genos garage is the best place I know for the TDR emblems and shirts. I finally picked up my grille badge at the Muncie get together. I've also got one of those "Got Diesel" T-shirts /w/ the TDR logo on the front, It was one of those "Gotta have it" type of items. :D

My grille badge is mounted

and I will keep an eye out on my trip back to Mt. Rushmore next month for other TDR badges.

I bet I will be approached by other diesel owner in campgrounds when they see the "badge of honor" ;)

Everyone should have one ;)

John E. I bought the grille badge for BD dyno days and then changed my mind and gave it to my wife and told her to let the boys give it to me for fathers day. My sons know my love for my truck and the TDR and they knew it was the perfect gift.

Am I bad ? ;)

Deezal;

It's quite possible, we have several members of the SETDR in and around Atlanta. If you're just messing around one day down there, drop by STP (Southern Truck Performance) and talk with Jeff, he is kinda like our BOMB plant :D . Oh FYI, if you see a truck running around Moreland Ave. and see a CTD with a STP sticker on the side, don't try and drag race it! Jeff has a couple of "demo" trucks!

STP can be found in our (SETDR) link page www.setdr.org

Welcome aboard, Chuck. I bet you now feel like most of us do: "I will never buy a gas powered truck again!" At least that's how I feel. That's what I tell people when they ask "How do you like your truck?"

Just took delivery of my special ordered CTD last Wednesday. I have to agree with all of you, I will never buy a gas powered truck again. This Dodge is awesome, engine never stops pulling and you cannot beat the fuel mileage. In two weeks I am off to Cleveland to visit Ohio Diesel Tech. for an Instructors course on Alternative Fuel Vehicles. Cannot wait to hit the open road!!!! Man, am I going to love driving this baby to Ohio !!!!!:D :D ;)

TDR decals?

We need to get TDR decals. I just put on my Geno's Garage purchased grille badge. I was thinking about the TDR hitch cover but when I'm towing, it won't be in use. The decals would be seen on rear or side windows and bumpers work too. Any ideas? I found this site for the decal I have attached. http://www.decalsforfun.com/autoList.htm

Man ,Now you know how I feel,,with all the miles I drive per week driving truck and the COUNTLESS amounts of these trucks pass me on my trek from Central PA to the Phoenix,AZ area,,Its also quite obvious who is "tuned" and who is not,,I myself keeep a TDR emblem in my work truck drivers side window so one can tell I'm a member,,Gotta tell you though, best truck I seen so far was in Texas,,Black 3500 24 valver 6 spd(talked to gentleman on CB)passed me on I-20 hauling a SET(2)loaded cattle trailers, one a 32ft fifth wheel and one a 28 ft tag behind using a custom hitch connecting them,,Told me he was not a member and had no computer and his mechanic near Odessa,TX set his truck up,,Wanted him to stop so I could look it over ,but was told he was late for a sale,,Tell you what through the 5" exhaust it was really sounding mean,,He's got my heart as one of the baddest rides I seen so far,,GONE is what he was. . in a flash..... So,I Also concur, lets get noticed badge or sticker up,we are all one big family... ... .

How do you guys attach the emblem to the grill? I remember reading about some infamous TDR member that tried welding a bolt on the back. I think he blew a couple of holes in the enamel. I wouldn't trust it to super glue. I would like to attach a bolt to the back. What do you use?

Also, has it been decided where it should be mounted? Top left corner, right bottom corner, smack dab in the middle. Come on guys, I need some directions here.

I used 2 small bolts about 2 inches long with good old JB Weld. I double nutted it so there is no pressure on the emblem and also used rubber washers in front of some metal ones to prevent rattles, movement and damage to my grille.

As far as location? I put mine in the lower drivers side, towards the outside. Don't know if there's a rule of thumb on grille badges, first one for me!:D

TDR Badge

Well, I put mine some place I haven't heard mentioned. (OK... ..... Don't even start with the cute comments!) :p

I was kind of thinking that the only way someone would see it on the front, is if they were going the opposite direction as I was. So, I figured by putting it on the back, it was visable by those going in the same direction as I. Anyway, I put it on the trailer connection box that is mounted to the hitch which balanced out the looks since I've got a aux. light mounted on the other side of the hitch. I still may get another one for the front. :) :) I used 3M tape.

Just another idea.

TDR Badge Mount

Bruce: I used a little JB weld on a small metal clip with 2 #10 flathead screws attached to badge. Let it set up overnight and slid the bolts through the grill (left upper) put on 2 fender washers and 2 nylock nuts. , and done.

Stuck one on the tail gate with 3M body molding tape (lower right)

Denny:D :D :D :D
