Hey guys, first my left side light wouldn't come on with the door open then it wouldn't come on when you pressed it, then it would come on with the door open but the "button" had no spring to it (just flopped around) now it doesn't work at all and the button is still flopping around.

How do you get to the bulb and what do you guys think is causing the button to have no spring action?

Thanks in advance as I didn't see anything in the manual and I didn't want to start prying on stuff until I checked in here.

Map light removal

They drop out of the console with a little pressure in the right spot. I used a small pocket knife to gently pry in and down from the out side edge where the switch is. It may not pop right out but it will stay half way out allowing another "bite".

If you think the switch is broke, drop the whole console out of the headliner. There are two snap tabs in the top of the door opener compartment which let the console drop a little, but don't pull down too hard. After the snaps release slip the console to the back and it should fall in to your hands. This will allow to inspect the switch and/or fix it.

Hope this helps.

Phil:)
