I've been setting overboost codes and I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. I've tried dielectric grease, I sent my comp box in and had a new one sent back and that didn't seem to help any. The overboost code (234) comes and goes. I'm down to the following possibilities. The harness on my comp is bad
. The computer in my truck is screwy
. Or my MAP has gone really bad
. But even if my map was bad wouldn't the comp hide the overboost condition from the computer? Either way I'm going to replace the MAP just to eliminate it. But I need some help on how to do it. Thanks
Wes
Hey I forgot to tell you it sets the overboost code at any amount of boost usually around 8lbs. Thats the screwy part that makes me think the MAP is bad but I really have no clue.
