OK here's the problem - installed a powermax 3 with no problems for several weeks. Had to replace the injection pump and ecm  so the shop where I had my truck took my powermax off so that the Dodge dealer could put the pump on. Drove fine for about a week then started setting overboost codes. The shop where I had my truck helped me and we talked with TST and ended up sending the harness and box in for testing- everything came back great. Hooked the powermax back up yesterday and set the code again after a 5 mile trip around town. From what I have read Im going to try cleaning the Map sensor and then all connections to the MAP adapter and use dielectric grease on them. What should I use to clean the connections and sensor? toothbrush or some sort of cleaner/solvent? Any other suggestions as to what my problem is?

map sensor

I'm haveing problems with my setup now which includes a powermax 3. I got dielectric grease from advance auto parts as well as some contact cleaner, cleaned the connections and put grease in, but it did not solve my problem. I'm thinking I might have a bad map sensor. I am not setting over boost codes, but I get a bad stumble at idle which always preceeds limp mode upon next start. This might be air in the fuel line, I am going to check tonight. Does your truck run fine without the pmax? I'm going to unhook mine tonight and see if I still have problems.

Yeah my truck runs fine without the powermax hooked up. Runs like a champ. But when I hook up the powermax it sets the code and goes limp. Take the powermax back off and it runs like normal.

Need something else to try

Took the MAP sensor out today and cleaned it good along with all electrical connectors on the MAP harness. Used dielectric grease on all connectors and fired it up. SAME PROBLEM. Where do I go now? Replace the MAP sensor itself?

This sucks

Ran without the power max today. Did good on the way to the shop, "cool" I thought, must be a problem with p-max. Ha, if only it were so simple... . towed a 01 denali on my trailer this afternoon and who shows up again, super stumble motor. *%!!@##&%, crap now what. Get home, sure enough back in limp mode as soon as I turned it off. Now I can't get it back out of limp mode at all. Going to get a map sensor tomorrow. Sounds like you might have a bad power max. I'll let you know what mine does with the new map sensor.
