Searched high and low on the tdr website (and at Fritz's) for the cummins part number for the map sensor ('2000), only could find the dodge p/n (kinda tricky cause there are two pn's depending on engine build date). I was too lazy to pull the sensor from the truck and look for the cummins part itself.

Ended up buying the sensor from the dealer ($116 plus tax) using the dodge pn. After replacing it today, I looked at the old sensor and I wrote down the cummins number from the old sensor (it's also on the new one, that comes in the dodge box). For grins I called the local cummins dealer and asked for availibility and price. They had it in stock and their price was only $47. 06 plus tax).

My lazyness cost me about $60.

And you have to know that DC buys it from Cummins for maybe less than half the $47 bux...

There's no profit in these trucks, nah... . not at all... :(

Take away the trucks and DC would be in trouble.

MAP Sensor

Cummins has another name for what Chrysler calls the map sensor. On the '01 is called the Boost Sensor, Cummins price is 50. 82 in Youngstown,OH

Hope this helps,

Denny
