Just got a new truck and plan on installing my COMP. The map sensor seems to be different. I tried to get it off but wasn't sure how the plug comes off. Any info would be great as the truck is a pig as is.

Thanks

The '02 map connector is different. There is a red plastic locking tab that needs to be unlocked by sliding it to one side, then there is a push release tab to disconnect it. EDGE makes an adaptor that can be used on the '01 boxes, not sure if thay mke one for the '98. 5/'00 boxes.

You don't wanna use pre 2001 box on anything newer. The fueling map/programming is different.

The factory ECM defuels at 2700. The Drag Comp will add fuel to compensate for the ECM. In a nutshell..... you will not defuel at 2700. :) I would think for the average person it wouldn't be neccessary however I consider myself average yet still got the Drag version. I figure when spending that much money, whats a little more:D
