Not trying to hijack, but what does the MAP and APPS sensors do, anyways?

Sorry, ignorant ex-first genner here! :D

MAP - Manifold Air Pressure - Measures the pressure in the intake manifold

APPS - Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor - Measures the position of the throttle at any given moment. This is what makes the truck go. We are "Fly by Wire" The info the sensor collects tells the VP44 (or P7100) how much fuel to send to the engine.

The MAP sensor is located on the drivers side of the engine, just below the valve cover towards the rear. Look further to the rear than the fuel filter housing and above the lift pump.

Ok... now I remember... I am not awake this morning! Thats the port that you unplug when you install the Edge,TST or whatever...

It would help if I woke up before I ask dumb questions. .
