I have a few questions concerning the MAP sensor, and Boost foolers on boxes and alone. What exactly do the boost foolers do to change the MAP sensor readings in the computer? If I am thinking right they let the computer see full boost until a certain number is reached and then make it so the computer only sees that much for the rest of the time until boost decreases to a lower level. I think that is at least how they should work in the ideal situation. I need an answer for this because a friends truck is having problems with his computer defueling even with my TST Comp that shouldn't defuel at all and didn't on my 99.

Thanks in advance for any help. Dan Shawhan

Boost foolers and boxes limit the Map sensor voltage output. The limit level changed in 2001. If my memory isn't failing me to badly, pre-01 defueled at 2 volts and post-01 defuels at 2. 5 volts.
