Hammer:

Good to hear from you buddy! We missed you at the

"get together. "

I have not had a chance to talk with my friend at

the body shop about that rocker panel paint, but

I will try to do it this week! Wes and Scott K. are

also interested in getting some. I will e-mail you

as soon as I can talk to him.

BTW, that head gasket WAS HURT! I don't think

I told you but the #1 cylinder was blown through

and the #4 cylinder was getting ready to leak too!

Those case hardened studs that Scheid put in should

stop all that! So far, so good... ... ... ... ... ...

David-

Thanks for the heads-up on that Bombing-bug critter, but I think the wife said something about squashing them with a baseball bat if she sees one. :-laf I can just picture the wife chasing the poor guy in the Big Brown Truck back into his truck and down the road!!:-laf :-laf

Chris-

Yes, the calm, casual, tourguide type voice at 110mph doesn't seem to go with the screamin turbo sound (AWESOME) and while John is telling ya to look in the mirror at the smoke screen,,, you're trying to keep an eye on the hood that is rippling up and down, either from wind resistance or the turbo was trying to suck it in. :D

Hammer-

The only thing that saved us from the wind tunnel look, was that the AC was on and the windows were up, however, I could swear that my beard kept getting pulled towards the dash and that turbo sound! :D

dustoff-

This would have been the perfect opportunity to have taught the pup NOT to hang his head out the window of your truck!

:--)

John P-

Daniel did say something about lifting the front end at half throttle!

Ok-OK I'm little late saying thanks Wes and all, for a great and imformative time. But i'm like my old under-valved truck, just a litle bit slow. comes from getting old. Dennis if your wife kills your bombing bug, I have two or three in an old jug around here some where and I'll give you one. Ready for the next meet where ever. bbomb

John P I was thinking, since my old truck only did 91. 4 mph in the quarter mile, in 16. 4 sec. it was kind of slow compared to the (RED ROCKET). Know what I mean.

:p :p

Me too, I'm late myself. I had a blast! We all have trucks that can pull campers, so we all need campers!;) Chris, you need to get that clutch fixed, so we can camp again. JohnP, have you talked the wife into that new 5th wheel yet?:D ;) Your name slips my mind, but the one who brought the fuel pressure gauge. Thanks, I have been woundering about my pump. It was good to know that everything was still running good. Maybey sometime over the summer we can have a meet at my place. I have plenty of parking, even for the campers! Thanks Pres. Wes for the get together, we couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Everybody be safe!

If I come to your place for once I aint' doing nothing but drinking beer. You ain't roping me into putting up hay, or truck working.

So you best start stocking up on the Budweiser now. :D

Wes

Scott, glad you had a chance to check your fuel pressure. One thing it shows is that a permanent mounted gauge is a necessity. Your pressure is almost the same as mine under WOT, and is at best, on the lower side of marginal.

Mo and I had a great time at the meeting, sure was a good turnout! Special thanks to Chris, David, John and Wes for setting it up and starting our new club. CU next month!!

Smithfield & the Red Rocket

Since we are still posting on the 22nd I want to say thanks to Wes and all for a good time. A big thanks goes out to John P, my wife is wondering why I wear that big grin when I hear my truck run. If I hang around you guys I guess I'll have to find a used camper to bring to the meetings. Thanks and see you soon.
